CJI Refuses Meeting With Rahul Gandhi On CEC Issue

CJI Surya Kant has denied a request from Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge to meet on October 12. The leaders sought the meeting to discuss alleged electoral irregularities, the SIR process, and police action against protestors. The CJI's office stated that the matter is sub judice and under judicial consideration by a bench headed by CJI Surya Kant himself.

मुख्य न्यायाधीश (CJI) सूर्यकांत ने कांग्रेस नेताओं राहुल गांधी और मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे के 12 अक्टूबर को मिलने के अनुरोध को ठुकरा दिया है। नेता कथित चुनावी अनियमितताओं, SIR प्रक्रिया और प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ पुलिस कार्रवाई पर चर्चा करना चाहते थे। CJI के कार्यालय ने कहा कि मामला विचाराधीन है और खुद CJI सूर्यकांत की अध्यक्षता वाली पीठ द्वारा न्यायिक विचार के अधीन है।
