Raipur Food Licences Suspended After Cockroaches, Fungus Found In Sweets

Food safety inspections in Raipur uncovered disturbing hygiene violations at three sweet shops and one dhaba. Dead cockroaches, insects, and hair were found in sweets, while fungus and cobwebs were present in syrup. Consequently, the Food and Drug Administration suspended the licenses of all four establishments on Saturday. Approximately 150kg of sweets and 10kg of paneer were destroyed, with another 50kg of suspected paneer seized. The FDA has directed the businesses to close for at least three days and rectify deficiencies.
