डीएमके अध्यक्ष एम. के. स्टालिन ने मुख्यमंत्री सी. जोसेफ विजय पर लापरवाही का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि तमिलनाडु में इसकी वजह से लोगों की जान जा रही है। स्टालिन ने हाल की हिंसा, हत्याओं और ड्रग्स की बरामदगी की घटनाओं का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री पुलिस विभाग पर ठीक से ध्यान नहीं दे रहे हैं। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री की खेल के लिए ड्रग्स छोड़ने की सलाह की आलोचना की और कहा कि विजय को पहले अपना 'आराम' छोड़ना चाहिए। स्टालिन ने जमानत पर छूटे लोगों की निगरानी पर भी चिंता जताई और एक हिस्ट्री-शीटर की हत्या का जिक्र किया।
