SFI Students March to Delhi Secretariat Demanding Stronger Action on Women's Safety

Students affiliated with the SFI marched to the Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday, protesting against rising sexual violence against women and girls in the capital. Citing at least 13 reported cases in September, including incidents involving minors, the protesters demanded stronger safety measures and greater accountability from authorities. An SFI delegation submitted a memorandum to the Delhi government, calling for zero tolerance on FIR delays, time-bound safety audits, functional streetlights, CCTV cameras, and safer public transport.

स्टूडेंट्स फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (SFI) से जुड़े छात्रों ने बुधवार को दिल्ली सचिवालय तक मार्च निकाला। वे राजधानी में महिलाओं और लड़कियों के खिलाफ बढ़ते यौन उत्पीड़न के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे। सितंबर में नाबालिगों से जुड़े मामलों सहित कम से कम 13 रिपोर्ट किए गए मामलों का हवाला देते हुए, प्रदर्शनकारियों ने कड़े सुरक्षा उपायों और अधिकारियों से अधिक जवाबदेही की मांग की। एसएफआई के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने दिल्ली सरकार को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें एफआईआर में देरी पर जीरो टॉलरेंस, समयबद्ध सुरक्षा ऑडिट, चालू स्ट्रीटलाइट, सीसीटीवी कैमरे और सुरक्षित सार्वजनिक परिवहन की मांग की गई।
