The Delhi High Court has refused to grant an urgent hearing to civil rights activist Mohammad Wasiq Nadeem Khan, who alleged illegal detention to prevent him from attending a protest. Khan's counsel sought an immediate listing, citing apprehension of further house arrest and a flight to Kolkata. The bench stated the matter would be heard on October 12, noting no written order prevented his travel. Khan also challenged prohibitory orders restricting public gatherings in New Delhi district.
