Indonesian rescuers are searching for a passenger ship, the Virgo Transport 8, which lost contact in the Java Sea on Sunday. The vessel was carrying over 240 people and departed from Surabaya, heading to Banjarmasin. Authorities received a report two hours after contact was lost, with the ship's operator citing bad weather. The last known position was approximately 92 miles from Banjarmasin. A rescue team has been dispatched to the ship's estimated last known location.
