Election Commission Summons TMC Factions Over Symbol Dispute Hearing

The Election Commission has summoned rival factions of the All India Trinamool Congress for a hearing. This is the first hearing after the factions were barred from using the party symbol for Bengal by-elections. The EC had previously issued an interim order, directing both Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee factions not to use the party name and symbol. They were later allotted fresh symbols and names to contest the by-elections.

चुनाव आयोग ने ऑल इंडिया तृणमूल कांग्रेस के विरोधी गुटों को सुनवाई के लिए बुलाया है। यह पहली सुनवाई है जब गुटों को बंगाल उपचुनाव के लिए पार्टी चिन्ह का उपयोग करने से रोका गया था। ईसी ने पहले एक अंतरिम आदेश जारी किया था, जिसमें ममता बनर्जी और रीताब्रता बनर्जी दोनों गुटों को पार्टी का नाम और चिन्ह का उपयोग न करने का निर्देश दिया था। उन्हें बाद में उपचुनाव लड़ने के लिए नए चिन्ह और नाम आवंटित किए गए थे।
