Coimbatore Airport Authority Meets Trade To Boost Air Cargo Volume

Trade representatives and shipping agents met with the Airports Authority of India director in Coimbatore to discuss enhancing air cargo movement from the local international airport. The meeting, the first in six years, highlighted the significant untapped potential for air cargo, with much of the region's export and import trade currently routed through other major cities. Fly Dubai has expressed interest in operating chartered flights, pending details on trade volumes. The next meeting is scheduled for February to advance these improvement measures.

व्यापार प्रतिनिधियों और शिपिंग एजेंटों ने कोयंबटूर के अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे से एयर कार्गो की आवाजाही बढ़ाने के लिए एयरपोर्ट्स अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया के निदेशक से मुलाकात की। छह साल में यह पहली बैठक थी। इसमें बताया गया कि एयर कार्गो की काफी संभावनाएं हैं, लेकिन अभी क्षेत्र का ज्यादातर निर्यात और आयात व्यापार दूसरे बड़े शहरों से होता है। फ्लाईदुबई ने व्यापार की मात्रा पर विवरण मिलने के बाद चार्टर्ड उड़ानें संचालित करने में रुचि दिखाई है। इन सुधार उपायों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अगली बैठक फरवरी में तय की गई है।
