Delhi High Court Proposes Grievance Redressal Cell in Hockey India

The Delhi High Court has proposed the establishment of a Grievance Redressal Cell within Hockey India to address emerging issues. Justice Amit Mahajan suggested appointing retired Supreme Court Justice A.K. Sikri as the chairperson for this cell. This proposal comes as the court heard a petition filed by Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey regarding the election process. Tirkey had sought judicial intervention, claiming certain executive board meetings were illegal and conducted without his approval. The court is expected to issue further directions on the cell's composition and operational framework.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने उभरते मुद्दों को हल करने के लिए हॉकी इंडिया के भीतर एक ग्रीवेंस रिड्रेसल सेल की स्थापना का प्रस्ताव दिया है। जस्टिस अमित महाजन ने इस सेल के अध्यक्ष के रूप में सेवानिवृत्त सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जस्टिस ए.के. सिकरी को नियुक्त करने का सुझाव दिया। यह प्रस्ताव तब आया जब अदालत हॉकी इंडिया के अध्यक्ष दिलीप टिर्की द्वारा चुनाव प्रक्रिया के संबंध में दायर याचिका पर सुनवाई कर रही थी। टिर्की ने कुछ कार्यकारी बोर्ड की बैठकों को अवैध और उनकी मंजूरी के बिना आयोजित करने का दावा करते हुए न्यायिक हस्तक्षेप मांगा था। अदालत से सेल की संरचना और परिचालन ढांचे पर आगे निर्देश जारी करने की उम्मीद है।
