Bihar RWD Engineer's Premises Raided, Rs 5.7 Lakh Cash Seized

Patna: The Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) has raided four premises linked to Chandrashekhar Singh, an executive engineer with the Rural Works Department in Chhapra, in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case. Searches uncovered approximately Rs 5.7 lakh in cash and 250 grams of jewellery. Investigators also found 92 decimals of land in West Bengal registered in Singh's wife's name, which was not disclosed in his asset declaration. The total assets found are estimated to be 88% more than his known income.

पटना: निगरानी अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (VIB) ने छपरा में ग्रामीण कार्य विभाग के एक कार्यकारी अभियंता, चंद्रशेखर सिंह, के चार ठिकानों पर आय से अधिक संपत्ति के कथित मामले में छापेमारी की है। तलाशी में करीब 5.7 लाख रुपये नकद और 250 ग्राम गहने बरामद हुए। जांचकर्ताओं को पश्चिम बंगाल में 92 डिसमिल जमीन भी मिली, जो सिंह की पत्नी के नाम पर पंजीकृत थी और जिसे उन्होंने अपनी संपत्ति घोषणा में नहीं बताया था। पाई गई कुल संपत्ति उनकी ज्ञात आय से 88% अधिक होने का अनुमान है।
