A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Jharkhand for allegedly defrauding a Lucknow resident of nearly ₹32 lakh. The accused sent a malware-infected file via WhatsApp, posing as a Green Gas Limited representative for a meter update. Once installed, the file granted access to the victim's phone and banking details, allowing the withdrawal of funds. The arrest followed a technical investigation after the victim filed a complaint. Police recovered cash, mobile phones, ATM cards, and SIM cards from the accused.

झारखंड में युवक गिरफ्तार 32 लाख रुपये की ठगी का आरोप

झारखंड में एक 22 साल के युवक को लखनऊ के एक निवासी से करीब 32 लाख रुपये की ठगी करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। आरोपी ने ग्रीन गैस लिमिटेड के प्रतिनिधि के तौर पर मीटर अपडेट के बहाने व्हाट्सएप पर मैलवेयर वाली फाइल भेजी थी। इंस्टॉल होने के बाद, फाइल ने पीड़ित के फोन और बैंकिंग डिटेल्स तक पहुंच बना ली, जिससे पैसे निकाले जा सके। पीड़ित की शिकायत के बाद तकनीकी जांच के बाद यह गिरफ्तारी हुई। पुलिस ने आरोपी के पास से नकदी, मोबाइल फोन, एटीएम कार्ड और सिम कार्ड बरामद किए हैं।
