Four Substandard Drugs Found in Maternal Death Probes; No Link to Fatalities
Times of India · health
An investigation into maternal deaths at government hospitals in Rajasthan found four substandard drugs, but officials stated none were linked to the fatalities. Over 200 drug samples were collected, with two from Kota and one each from Bikaner and Jodhpur failing quality standards. These probes relate to at least 18 women who died in May and June across five districts. While doctors in Kota were cleared of negligence, grieving families remain unconvinced by the findings, which attributed deaths to comorbidities.
