Actor Sathyaraj's daughter, Divya Sathyaraj, has filed a Rs 1 crore defamation suit against actor Bayilvan Ranganathan at the Madras High Court. The suit follows alleged false and defamatory remarks made about her after she discussed marriage and relationships in a YouTube interview. The court has granted interim protection, restraining Ranganathan from circulating the statements. Google, Facebook, and X Corp were also directed to prevent the dissemination of the objectionable content on their platforms. Divya Sathyaraj is seeking damages and a permanent injunction against further defamatory statements.
