Delhi HC Seeks Centre, FSSAI Response On Plea To Ban Analogue Paneer

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Centre, FSSAI, and the Delhi government regarding a petition that seeks to ban the sale of analogue products being passed off as paneer. Analogue paneer is made with non-milk ingredients, replacing traditional milk constituents. The petition highlights that other states have already taken action against such products. It argues that Delhi, a major market for dairy products, also needs similar regulatory measures to protect consumers' right to genuine food and health under Article 21.
