INDIA Bloc to Hold Mock Impeachment Against Chief Election Commissioner

The INDIA bloc will stage a symbolic mock impeachment proceeding against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will preside over the mock parliamentary session, while Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge will present the proposal. This event aims to pressure the Election Commission regarding alleged voter list discrepancies and the removal of names, a process the opposition calls 'SIR'. The demonstration, initially planned for Ashoka Hotel, will now take place at Kharge's residence after permission was denied elsewhere.
