Carlsberg A/S is reportedly close to filing for a public offering of its India business, aiming to raise up to $700 million as early as this week. The country's second-largest brewer, with a market share of about 22%, is expected to begin investor roadshows next week and could launch the IPO in December. The offering will consist entirely of a secondary share sale by the Danish parent company. Carlsberg India, which entered the market in 2007, operates seven breweries nationwide. This move comes as India's IPO market shows renewed strength.
