Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a significant increase in sugarcane prices, raising the rate from Rs 415 per quintal for 2025-26 to Rs 430 for 2026-27 and Rs 450 for 2027-28. This two-year advance announcement aims to provide market predictability for farmers and help them absorb rising cultivation expenses like fuel and fertilizer. The move is also intended to incentivize sugarcane cultivation amidst a nationwide shortage, ensuring a steady supply for sugar mills.

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने गन्ने के दाम में बड़ी बढ़ोतरी का ऐलान किया है। उन्होंने 2025-26 के लिए ₹415 प्रति क्विंटल से बढ़ाकर 2026-27 के लिए ₹430 और 2027-28 के लिए ₹450 कर दिया है। यह दो साल पहले की गई घोषणा किसानों को बाज़ार की भविष्यवाणी करने और ईंधन व खाद जैसे बढ़ते खेती खर्चों को झेलने में मदद करने के लिए है। इस कदम का मकसद देशव्यापी कमी के बीच गन्ने की खेती को बढ़ावा देना भी है, जिससे शुगर मिलों को लगातार सप्लाई मिलती रहे।
