नंदूरबार की कलेक्टर मित्तली सेठी, जो एक आईएएस अधिकारी हैं, ने अपने जुड़वां बेटों को महंगे प्रीस्कूल के बजाय सरकारी आंगनवाड़ी में दाखिला कराया है। परिवार ने शुरू में इस फैसले पर हैरानी जताई थी, लेकिन सेठी के स्थानीय आंगनवाड़ी के जमीनी काम और संवेदनशीलता के सकारात्मक अनुभव ने उन्हें यह कदम उठाने के लिए प्रेरित किया। दंत चिकित्सा से सिविल सेवाओं में आईं सेठी का मानना है कि बचपन की शिक्षा में रटने की बजाय मानवीय जुड़ाव और पर्यावरण के साथ एकीकरण को प्राथमिकता दी जानी चाहिए। उनके चार साल के बच्चे कथित तौर पर आंगनवाड़ी के माहौल में अच्छा कर रहे हैं।
