Authorities believe he moved to Dubai later that year. FlyDubai reportedly did not check with Oman Air before hiring him. The alleged attack occurred on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, causing the aircraft to dive sharply before reserve pilots regained control. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident as terrorism linked to Islamic radicalization.
