Former Minister Snehasish Chakraborty Under Probe for Rs 1 Crore Loan Irregularities

Former state minister Snehasish Chakraborty is facing an investigation over allegations of improperly securing loans totaling approximately Rs 1 crore from an agricultural cooperative in Hooghly. The Institutional Corruption Prevention Commission has launched a probe into the alleged irregularities at the Singti Guti Atara Bilaspur Agricultural Cooperative Society. Officials raided its Jangipara office and seized documents, while transaction records are being examined. Chakraborty has denied the allegations, calling them an attempt at character assassination and stating he is not the chairman and has repaid all loans.

पूर्व राज्य मंत्री स्नेहाशीष चक्रवर्ती पर हुगली की एक कृषि सहकारी समिति से लगभग 1 करोड़ रुपये के ऋण अनुचित तरीके से प्राप्त करने के आरोपों को लेकर जांच चल रही है। भ्रष्टाचार निवारण आयोग ने सिंगटी गुटी अतारा बिलासपुर कृषि सहकारी समिति में कथित अनियमितताओं की जांच शुरू कर दी है। अधिकारियों ने सिंगपाड़ा स्थित उसके कार्यालय में छापा मारा और दस्तावेज जब्त किए, जबकि लेन-देन के रिकॉर्ड की जांच की जा रही है। चक्रवर्ती ने आरोपों से इनकार किया है, उन्हें चरित्र हनन का प्रयास बताया है और कहा है कि वह अध्यक्ष नहीं हैं और उन्होंने सभी ऋण चुका दिए हैं।
