US Journalist and Palestinians Attacked By Israeli Settlers in West Bank

Veteran photojournalist Heidi Levine, 64, was severely beaten and robbed by dozens of masked Israeli settlers while covering Palestinian olive pickers in the occupied West Bank. The settlers also set olive trees ablaze and attacked villagers. Independent journalist Jasper Nathaniel described Levine being clubbed and robbed before being taken to hospital. Israeli soldiers reportedly arrived after the attack, firing tear gas and live ammunition at Palestinians, shooting one man in the leg, and preventing paramedics and journalists from assisting.
