Six Booked For Duping Engineer Of ₹17 Lakh In Franchise Fraud

Pune police have registered a case against six individuals for allegedly defrauding a 58-year-old engineer of Rs 17.36 lakh. The fraud occurred between July 2017 and the present, involving promises of retail and pharmacy franchises. The engineer, who had been working in the US, initially paid Rs 6.22 lakh for a retail franchise that never materialised. Subsequently, he transferred an additional Rs 11.14 lakh for a pharmacy franchise, which also failed to materialise.
