Over 1.5 lakh residents in Jamshedpur's outskirts are facing an acute water shortage since Sunday due to a technical fault and a burnt transformer at the regional water supply facility. The disruption has affected nearly 40,000 households across 21 panchayats, forcing residents to rely on tankers and other limited sources. Panchayat representatives met the deputy commissioner seeking immediate restoration and a permanent solution to recurring disruptions.
