Meghalaya on Track to Host 39th National Games, Technical Committee Confirms Progress

Meghalaya is progressing well in its preparations to host the 39th National Games next year, according to Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC) chairperson Sunaina Kumari. Following a four-day inspection of proposed venues in Shillong and Jowai, Kumari expressed satisfaction with the coordination among government departments. The Indian Olympic Association appointed the five-member GTCC, which visited from November 2 to 5. While Meghalaya has proposed 39 disciplines, the final list and inclusion of sports like Taekwondo are subject to the IOA's decision.
