Former Kerala Minister M.K. Muneer has demanded a thorough investigation into the 2006 death of Lee See Been, a project engineer for a World Bank-aided road development project. Muneer stated that no proper inquiry has been conducted into the engineer's reported suicide, despite a note being found. This call comes as the current government is also seeking a preliminary inquiry into allegations of bribe extortion attempts against the construction firm, which allegedly caused project delays and cost escalations.
