Coast Guard Foils Major Narcotic Smuggling Bid, Seizes Drugs Worth Rs 3,000 Crore

The Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat ATS have successfully foiled a major narcotic smuggling attempt in the Arabian Sea, west of Lakshadweep. The operation, conducted, resulted in the seizure of approximately 526 kg of high-grade narcotics, including heroin and methamphetamine, valued at over Rs 3,000 crore. Five Pakistani nationals operating an Iranian dhow were apprehended during the coordinated pursuit. The intercepted vessel, crew, and contraband were escorted to Mumbai for further investigation and legal proceedings.
