Prague Zoo has announced a significant achievement with three snake species breeding successfully for the first time in its history. Rough-scaled pythons from Australia produced two hatchlings, while Nosy Komba ground boas from Madagascar gave birth to ten young, and Tartar sand boas from Asia delivered four. These reptiles originate from diverse global habitats, including Australia, Madagascar, and Asia. Notably, the pythons and sand boas involved in these successful breedings were originally confiscated from wildlife smugglers, adding a layer of conservation success to the breeding achievements.
