Oil Prices Dip From 5-Month High After US Eases Russia Sanctions
Hindustan Times · business
Oil prices saw a decline on Monday, retreating from a five-month peak as investors took profits. US President Donald Trump's decision to ease certain sanctions and tariffs on Russia contributed to the drop, potentially increasing global fuel availability. Brent crude futures fell 2.08% to $107.57 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped 1.92% to $99.46 per barrel. Despite this easing, Middle East supply fears continue to pressure prices due to ongoing security threats in the region.
