India's electronics exports experienced a significant surge, growing 39.4 per cent to $26.66 billion between April and August of FY27. This growth was primarily fueled by smartphone shipments, which contributed nearly $15.96 billion, making up 60 per cent of the total electronics exports during this five-month period. This expansion highlights India's increasing manufacturing capabilities in the electronics sector, with global players like Apple and Samsung contributing to this rise. The growth in electronics exports is a key factor in India's overall merchandise export increase.
