गोवा मेडिकल कॉलेज और हॉस्पिटल की क्लिनिकल बायोकेमिस्ट्री लैब में रोज़ाना करीब 15,000 ब्लड टेस्ट हो रहे हैं। यह काम संभालने के लिए लैब के पास हर महीने लगभग 2.5 करोड़ रुपये का बजट है। लैब में बहुत ही आधुनिक मशीनें लगी हैं, जिनसे इतने सारे टेस्ट किए जा रहे हैं। इससे पता चलता है कि इस इलाके में जांच की मांग बहुत ज़्यादा है।
