Sebi to Soon Issue Closing Auction Session Framework After Receiving Over 3,500 Comments

Market regulator Sebi will soon issue a framework for proposed changes to the Closing Auction Session (CAS) mechanism. This follows the receipt of over 3,500 comments on its consultation paper, which sought public feedback on reviewing aspects of CAS, market timings, and derivative settlement methods. Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated that the regulator will quickly examine the responses. The CAS aims to determine closing prices through an auction process, and the review follows its rollout in the equity cash segment and concerns over its impact on derivatives settlement prices.

मार्केट रेगुलेटर सेबी जल्द ही क्लोजिंग ऑक्शन सेशन (CAS) मैकेनिज्म में प्रस्तावित बदलावों के लिए एक फ्रेमवर्क जारी करेगा। यह इसके कंसल्टेशन पेपर पर 3,500 से ज़्यादा कमेंट्स मिलने के बाद हुआ है, जिसमें CAS के पहलुओं, मार्केट टाइमिंग और डेरिवेटिव सेटलमेंट तरीकों की समीक्षा पर पब्लिक फीडबैक मांगा गया था। सेबी चेयरमैन तुहिन कांता पांडे ने कहा कि रेगुलेटर जवाबों की जल्दी जांच करेगा। CAS का मकसद ऑक्शन प्रक्रिया के ज़रिए क्लोजिंग प्राइस तय करना है, और यह समीक्षा इक्विटी कैश सेगमेंट में इसके रोलआउट और डेरिवेटिव सेटलमेंट प्राइस पर इसके असर को लेकर चिंताओं के बाद हुई है।
