Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has warned that artificial intelligence (AI) poses a significant risk to computer-based jobs, stating one skilled individual using AI could perform the work of ten people. He clarified this does not necessarily mean 90% of workers will lose their jobs, but rather that AI could lead to a rebalancing across the economy. While some companies may need fewer employees, others could afford to hire for tasks previously out of reach. Vembu urged workers to accept this coming change and prepare for a potentially painful economic transition.
