Chennai experienced heavy rainfall from Cyclone Murasu, with some areas receiving up to 15cm of rain. Despite the downpour, the city largely avoided widespread waterlogging due to proactive measures by corporation workers and a well-prepared drainage system. While only one subway reported waterlogging, it was cleared by Monday morning. Meteorologists warn that the most challenging rainfall phase is yet to come, as November is typically Chennai's wettest month and further weather systems are anticipated.
