Allahabad HC Seeks UP SEC's Reply on 32 Voters' Deletion

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has requested a response from the UP State Election Commission regarding the alleged illegal deletion of 32 voters from the panchayat electoral roll in Balrampur district. The court has also issued notices to 47 individuals who were reportedly included in the voter list improperly. A division bench issued the order following a writ petition and directed the state government and the Election Commission to submit affidavits explaining their stance. The next hearing is scheduled for December 15.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट की लखनऊ पीठ ने बलरामपुर जिले में पंचायत मतदाता सूची से कथित तौर पर 32 मतदाताओं के अवैध रूप से नाम हटाने के संबंध में यूपी राज्य चुनाव आयोग से जवाब मांगा है। कोर्ट ने उन 47 लोगों को नोटिस भी जारी किया है जिन्हें कथित तौर पर मतदाता सूची में गलत तरीके से शामिल किया गया था। एक डिवीजन बेंच ने एक रिट याचिका पर सुनवाई के बाद यह आदेश जारी किया और राज्य सरकार व चुनाव आयोग को अपना पक्ष स्पष्ट करने वाले हलफनामे दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया। अगली सुनवाई 15 दिसंबर को निर्धारित है।
