Sebi Proposes Shorter Disaster Drills For Exchanges

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is proposing changes to disaster recovery drills for market infrastructure institutions like stock exchanges. These changes aim to reduce the time for mock drills and strengthen backup rules. Currently, drills last a full trading day, which can be cumbersome. Sebi suggests conducting drills on non-working days for at least four hours, including switchover time.

भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड (Sebi) स्टॉक एक्सचेंजों जैसे बाजार अवसंरचना संस्थानों के लिए आपदा रिकवरी अभ्यास में बदलाव का प्रस्ताव कर रहा है। इन बदलावों का मकसद मॉक ड्रिल के समय को कम करना और बैकअप नियमों को मजबूत करना है। अभी ये अभ्यास पूरे ट्रेडिंग दिन चलते हैं, जो मुश्किल हो सकता है। Sebi ने गैर-कार्य दिवसों पर कम से कम चार घंटे के अभ्यास का सुझाव दिया है।
