Pune Metro Line 3 Fare Review Sought By Housing Federation, Commuters

Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad Cooperative Housing Societies Federation has urged authorities to reconsider the proposed fare structure for Metro Line 3, citing concerns that it could become unaffordable for daily commuters. The federation president highlighted that the proposed maximum fare of Rs 62 for the 23km Hinjewadi-District Court stretch is significantly higher than the Rs 27 fare for a 15km journey on another line. They argue that Pune Metro 3 should be an affordable public transport option, not a premium service.
