India's government has refuted claims of discrimination in its satellite internet regulations, following Elon Musk's accusation that "oligarchs" are blocking Starlink's launch. The Ministry of Communications stated it has established a fair and non-discriminatory framework for all telecommunications services, including satellite communications. Licenses have been granted to three providers, including Starlink, Eutelsat OneWeb, and Jio Satellite Communications, all of whom are undergoing security assessments. The government clarified that all three entities are at a similar regulatory stage, dismissing suggestions of preferential treatment or bias.
