Faridabad Forest Land Cleared of Encroachments Now a Dumpyard

Land in Faridabad's Khori forest area, recently cleared of encroachments following a Supreme Court order, has now become a dumping ground for waste. Residents report that Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) vehicles have dumped garbage there, raising concerns about environmental damage and the monitoring of cleared forest land. This situation highlights challenges in protecting Aravali land from further degradation after eviction drives. The Haryana forest department has stated that non-forest activities will not be tolerated and action will be taken.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद फरीदाबाद के खोरी जंगल इलाके की अतिक्रमण मुक्त कराई गई ज़मीन अब कचरे का डंपिंग ग्राउंड बन गई है। निवासियों ने बताया कि म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ फरीदाबाद (MCF) के वाहनों ने वहां कूड़ा फेंका है, जिससे पर्यावरण को नुकसान और खाली कराई गई जंगल की ज़मीन की निगरानी पर चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं। यह स्थिति बेदखली अभियानों के बाद अरावली भूमि को और खराब होने से बचाने में आने वाली चुनौतियों को उजागर करती है। हरियाणा वन विभाग ने कहा है कि गैर-वन गतिविधियों को बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा और कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
