French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that individuals intending to "cause chaos" during upcoming protests against the high cost of living will not be permitted to do so. Speaking from Doha, Macron indicated he would consult with intelligence services before Saturday's planned demonstrations. He acknowledged no direct foreign interference in past events but noted foreign manipulation of information. Macron vowed to take all necessary measures to restore "calm, security and order," following widespread protests that led to over 2,500 arrests and looting.
