Meng Ju Liu, a Taiwanese Green Card holder in Ohio, has sued the Trump administration for alleged delays in his US citizenship application, which he claims has been pending for around 18 months. Liu, who applied for citizenship in April 2025, stated that his application has been gathering dust and he has not been called for a naturalization interview. He argues that federal officials have failed to process his application within a reasonable period, impacting his food import/export business and international travel needs.
