The Bombay High Court has ruled that Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders do not possess the right to protest in India. The court directed actor Imran Khan, a US citizen holding an OCI card, to apologize for participating in a demonstration in Mumbai in October. Khan has since tendered an unconditional apology and assured the court he will not engage in similar protests. Authorities had previously issued Khan a 'Leave India Notice' for his participation, but the court has put a hold on this order.
