Sebi Revises Stock Market Closing Auction Rules After Trader Feedback

India's capital markets regulator, Sebi, has revised the Closing Auction Session (CAS) framework following extensive stakeholder consultations and over 20,000 comments. The new timings for CAS are now set from 3:30 pm to 3:40 pm on regular trading days, with derivatives trading extending slightly later. The revised framework includes specific phases for order entry and modification, aiming for greater transparency. Sebi has also reverted to the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) method for derivatives expiry settlement prices, calculated over the final 30 minutes of continuous trading.

भारत के शेयर बाज़ार नियामक, सेबी ने क्लोजिंग ऑक्शन सेशन (CAS) के नियमों में बदलाव किया है। यह फैसला हितधारकों से सलाह-मशविरे और 20,000 से ज़्यादा टिप्पणियों के बाद लिया गया है। अब CAS का समय रोज़ाना ट्रेडिंग वाले दिनों में दोपहर 3:30 बजे से 3:40 बजे तक रहेगा, और डेरिवेटिव्स की ट्रेडिंग थोड़ी देर से खत्म होगी। नए नियमों में ऑर्डर डालने और बदलने के लिए खास चरण शामिल हैं, ताकि ज़्यादा पारदर्शिता आ सके। सेबी ने डेरिवेटिव्स की एक्सपायरी सेटलमेंट कीमतों के लिए वॉल्यूम वेटेड एवरेज प्राइस (VWAP) तरीके को फिर से अपनाया है, जिसकी गणना लगातार ट्रेडिंग के आखिरी 30 मिनट के आधार पर की जाएगी।
