HDFC Bank Board Proposes Two MD & CEO

HDFC Bank's board has forwarded two names to the Reserve Bank of India for the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The new chief executive will serve a three-year term, following the incumbent's decision not to seek reappointment. Kaizad M. Bharucha, the current Deputy Managing Director, is reportedly among the proposed candidates. The bank also approved reappointment of V. Srinivasa Rangan and appointment of Jimmy Tata as Whole-time Directors.

एचडीएफसी बैंक के बोर्ड ने मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर और सीईओ पद के लिए भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक को दो नाम भेजे हैं। नए सीईओ तीन साल के लिए काम करेंगे, क्योंकि मौजूदा अधिकारी ने फिर से नियुक्ति नहीं मांगी है। फिलहाल डिप्टी मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर कैज़ाद एम. भरूचा का नाम भी प्रस्तावित उम्मीदवारों में है। बैंक ने वी. श्रीनिवास रंगन की फिर से नियुक्ति और जिमी टाटा को होल-टाइम डायरेक्टर बनाने को भी मंजूरी दे दी है।
