An IIT Madras alumnus, Bharani Vlsvss, who cleared the UPSC and joined the Indian Trade Service, has detailed his reasons for leaving government service. He cited disparities between services, limited scope for specialists in a generalist-dominated system, and uneven accountability as key factors.
