बीजेपी ने उल्हासनगर म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन में एकनाथ शिंदे की शिवसेना गुट के साथ अपना गठबंधन तोड़ने का फैसला किया है। यह फैसला मनोनीत पार्षद सीटों के आवंटन पर हुए विवाद से उपजा है, जिसमें बीजेपी ने अन्याय का आरोप लगाया है। बीजेपी चार सीटों की मांग कर रही थी लेकिन उसे केवल दो मिलीं, जबकि शिंदे की पार्टी को पांच सीटें मिलीं। इससे दोनों पार्टियों के स्थानीय नेताओं के बीच सार्वजनिक आरोप-प्रत्यारोप हुए। बीजेपी ने स्थानीय गठबंधन को औपचारिक रूप से भंग करने के लिए अपने राज्य अध्यक्ष को एक प्रस्ताव भेजा है।
