Punjab has announced a ban on the sale of Pregabalin capsules without a valid prescription, effective. This measure is being implemented under Schedule H1 of the Drugs Rules, 1945, to curb the misuse of the drug. The government panel also accepted demands for a postmortem at PGIMER and compensation for injured individuals. Additionally, security will be provided to Parwinder Singh's family, and a statue will be erected in his memory. The state is also cracking down on chemists selling prohibited substances, with several licenses cancelled and shops sealed.

पंजाब ने 11 नवंबर से प्रीगैबलिन कैप्सूल की बिक्री बिना वैध पर्ची के प्रतिबंधित कर दी है। यह कदम ड्रग्स रूल्स, 1945 के शेड्यूल H1 के तहत उठाया गया है ताकि दवा के दुरुपयोग को रोका जा सके। सरकारी पैनल ने PGIMER में पोस्टमार्टम और घायलों को मुआवजा देने की मांग भी स्वीकार कर ली है। परविंदर सिंह के परिवार को सुरक्षा दी जाएगी और उनकी याद में एक प्रतिमा भी बनाई जाएगी। राज्य सरकार प्रतिबंधित पदार्थ बेचने वाले केमिस्टों पर भी कार्रवाई कर रही है, कई लाइसेंस रद्द किए गए हैं और दुकानें सील कर दी गई हैं।
