This directive applies to malls, hospitals, and educational institutions, with owners bearing the audit costs. The move follows concerns over ageing building safety, highlighted by a recent collapse that killed seven. Owners must complete these assessments within three months and undertake necessary retrofitting.

दिल्ली डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (DDA) ने 2001 से पहले बने सभी ऊँची इमारतों के लिए स्ट्रक्चरल सेफ्टी ऑडिट अनिवार्य कर दिया है। इसमें मॉल, अस्पताल और स्कूल-कॉलेज भी शामिल हैं। इसका खर्च मालिकों को उठाना होगा। हाल ही में एक इमारत गिरने से सात लोगों की मौत के बाद यह फैसला लिया गया है। मालिकों को तीन महीने में ऑडिट करवाना होगा और ज़रूरत पड़ने पर मरम्मत करवानी होगी।
