BJP, Congress leaders clash in Haveri over alleged vote rigging during council polls

BJP workers protested outside the Congress office in Haveri, accusing its leaders of 'vote chori' during the Legislative Council elections. The BJP alleged that Shilpa Badammanavar impersonated a voter to cast a ballot and demanded an inquiry. A non-cognisable report has been filed against Badammanavar. BJP leaders also called for the resignation of the district in-charge Minister and the suspension of poll officials. Meanwhile, Congress leaders held a press conference countering the allegations and accusing the BJP of similar malpractice.

हावेरी में बीजेपी कार्यकर्ताओं ने कांग्रेस दफ्तर के बाहर प्रदर्शन किया और कांग्रेस नेताओं पर लेजिस्लेटिव काउंसिल चुनावों के दौरान 'वोट चोरी' का आरोप लगाया। बीजेपी ने आरोप लगाया कि शिल्पा बदामनवर ने एक वोटर के रूप में वोट डालने के लिए प्रतिरूपण किया और जांच की मांग की। बदामनवर के खिलाफ एक नॉन-कॉग्निजेबल रिपोर्ट दर्ज की गई है। बीजेपी नेताओं ने जिला प्रभारी मंत्री के इस्तीफे और चुनाव अधिकारियों के निलंबन की भी मांग की। वहीं, कांग्रेस नेताओं ने एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस कर आरोपों का खंडन किया और बीजेपी पर इसी तरह के कदाचार का आरोप लगाया।
