Al Jazeera · world

An investigation by the Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) has identified 25 commanders from both the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and Sudanese Armed Forces linked to alleged sexual violence during Sudan's ongoing war. The report examines five locations and periods of reported abuse, correlating commanders' roles with evidence from the UN and rights groups. One commander, Khademallah Khashmin Herika, was identified encouraging fighters to commit rape. The findings do not establish personal commission or orders for rape by each commander but highlight their authority where atrocities occurred.
