BJP Seeks Resumes From Citizens For KMC Poll Candidates Via Drop Boxes

The Bengal BJP will launch a unique 'drop box' initiative on Monday to collect resumes from interested citizens, including youth and civil society representatives, for selection as candidates in the upcoming Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) elections. State civic election in-charge Sukanta Majumdar announced that drop boxes will be placed at the party's old headquarters. The party aims to field candidates in all 209 KMC seats, up from the previous 144 wards after delimitation.

पश्चिम बंगाल बीजेपी सोमवार को कोलकाता नगर निगम (केएमसी) चुनावों के लिए उम्मीदवार के तौर पर चुने जाने के इच्छुक नागरिकों, जिनमें युवा और नागरिक समाज के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हैं, से बायोडाटा लेने के लिए एक अनोखी 'ड्रॉप बॉक्स' पहल शुरू करेगी। राज्य के नागरिक चुनाव प्रभारी सुकांत मजूमदार ने घोषणा की कि पार्टी के पुराने मुख्यालय में ड्रॉप बॉक्स रखे जाएंगे। पार्टी का लक्ष्य परिसीमन के बाद पिछले 144 वार्डों से बढ़कर सभी 209 केएमसी सीटों पर उम्मीदवार खड़ा करना है।
